rewrite the benchmarks in pure Rust

let's dump Nushell for good and only use it as a script to run pure Rust benchmarks.

this is a continuation of the work from !193 (merged).

⚠️ Warning

• the FRI benchmarks have been removed, even though the code is still in examples/
• the plotting scripts have been removed for now
